Sanur Heat, Cold Cocktails, and The Good Vibes in Pizzaria Sanur That Sealed the Deal

It’s Saturday. The kind of Saturday where the sun’s already blazing by 10 AM and the water at Baby Reef Sanur is just too good to pass up. A couple hours of longboard fun later, my arms are jelly and my stomach’s making all kinds of protest. You know that surf-hungry feeling? Yeah, that.

We take a long walk along the Sanur beach walk, scanning for a spot to fuel up. Not in the mood for anything too heavy, just something chill, with good vibes and better food. That’s when we spot Pizzaria Sanur. Right on the beachfront, tucked inside Hyatt hotel but totally open to walk-ins. The place looks inviting, tables shaded under big white umbrellas, and the breeze actually feels like a reward.

Menus land on our table, and while I’m flipping through the food, my eyes land on their Negroni, all red, icy, and bitter in the best way. One of the waiters comes by and casually mentions, “We have a great cocktail deal from 3 to 7 every day.” I nod politely, but in my head I’m thinking “it’s 12:30 and I need this now.” Surf sweats + Bali heat = no time to wait for happy hour. I order it. No regrets. It’s cold, strong, perfectly mixed, and exactly what I didn’t know I needed.

Food-wise, we start with the octopus salad. I wasn’t expecting much, but it surprises me. It’s super fresh, tender pieces of octopus, tangy dressing, and citrusy bites that snap my taste buds awake. Perfect post-surf kind of light but satisfying dish. We go big with the mains. Wood-fired pizza, of course (it’s called Pizzaria for a reason). Crust is the real deal, crispy edges with that chewy center. We go for one with burrata and prosciutto, and the flavors are hitting just right. There’s something about eating pizza by the ocean that just works.

People around us are all in weekend mode, some sipping their drinks, others digging into pasta bowls, all under the shade, with the ocean just steps away. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, stay longer than planned, maybe order another drink just because the breeze is too nice to leave yet.

Service? Friendly and chill. The kind that doesn’t hover, but knows when you’re ready. Prices? Not bad at all considering the location and quality. Definitely not your average hotel restaurant vibe, more like a hidden gem that’s doing its own thing.

By the time we’re finishing up, I’m already mentally bookmarking this spot for future lazy Sundays or date nights. There’s something really solid about this place, it doesn’t try too hard, but it delivers. So yeah, if you ever find yourself post-surf and starving, or just strolling the Sanur path looking for something easy but legit, Pizzaria Sanur might just be your new go-to. Trust me, the Negroni’s waiting.
