Millers Records is A Vinyl Lover’s Paradise

To be honest, I am really excited to write about this place. My first encounter with Millers was around 2019 when I was driving through Umalas on my way back from the office. They had just opened their offline shop in Bali. Since then, it has become one of my favourite places in Bali.

Meet Denny, the head behind Millers Records. His passion for jazz and analogue records led him to open his own record store. In the beginning, they started selling online, grew steadily, and eventually opened their first shop in Jakarta, followed by one in Bali. Millers is a curated haven for vinyl enthusiasts that offers a treasure trove for music lovers of all stripes.

Right now, the shop is located on Mertanadi Street, Kerobokan. You can definitely feel the unique vibe—both cozy and welcoming—once you step inside. The collection? It’s a beautiful mix of new and vintage records, ranging from rock to jazz, electronic, and everything in between. What I really like here is the interaction between you, as a guest, and the Millers team. They are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had an awesome chat with one of them, Febri. If you’re hunting for something specific, these guys are gold—they’ll either guide you right to it or suggest something you might love.

Prices swing from 200K to 2 or 3 million, depending on how rare or well-preserved the vinyl is. One of the best things about Millers Records is their listening station. You can listen to records before buying them, which is a huge plus. It’s always nice to check the sound quality, especially with vintage vinyl. The store has a great setup to make this process enjoyable. They’re very thorough, so you can take your time.

Oh, and they have an online presence too! For those who can’t visit in person or want to explore their offerings from afar, you can check out their extensive catalog on Discogs. It’s a great way to see what treasures they have in stock. You can also browse and buy from their Tokopedia shop here: Millers Records on Tokopedia.

Right next to Millers, there’s also a coffee shop owned by Denny called Take Five. This cozy spot is inspired by the jazz coffee shops you’d find in Japan. Perfect place to sip a cup of coffee while soaking in some great tunes!

If you find yourself in Kerobokan, definitely swing by. It’s a must. The fusion of music, knowledgeable staff, and that cozy vibe makes it unforgettable.
